About The Author

Syrene R. Saladin grew up reading romance novels written by Western authors where chivalry softened the edges of patriarchy and monogamy offered some personal security to women and their children. How would a romance be written if it were set in an Eastern culture? Unfortunately, the only ones she had heard of were like Romeo and Juliet—cautionary tales about the dangers of love and the triumph of the tribe over the individual. Other stories often tell tales of unrequited love and self-sacrifice. Challenged by writing another type of Eastern romance, where a hero and heroine could fall in love and fulfill their love, Saladin began to write her novels.

About Our Book

In a land filled with ancient myths and legends, two kingdoms are at war.
One woman is destined to unite them . . . but only if she dares to put her heart before her duty.
Known by her loyal followers as Rasha, she is called Princess of the Wind—a fierce, fabled warrior—by others. Yet Rasha only donned her battlefield armor to defy her brutal father, who placed a bounty on her head. Forced to flee her beloved kingdom of Isfahan, peace is still Rasha’s sole dream. To achieve it and reunite the warring factions of the land, she will need one man’s help. A man she dares not ever trust.
